How Do Yeti Tumblers Work To Keep Beverages Cold/Hot?
Yeti tumbler adopts a double-wall vacuum insulation structure, there is a vacuum layer between the two stainless steel walls. The outer side of the inner stainless steel is plated with a layer of copper. These simple features actually prevent all heat transfer through conduction, convection or radiation. The vacuum prevents conduction, and the lid prevents air from entering or leaving the flask, so convection is unlikely to occur. What about radiation? When the infrared radiation tries to leave the hot liquid, the reflective lining of the cavity reflects it directly back again. The heat can hardly escape from the Yeti Tumbler, and the hot drinks stored in it will remain steaming for several hours.
Yet Tumbler is also suitable for holding cold drinks and ice cubes. If the heat cannot escape from the Yeti Tumbler, then it cannot penetrate into the thermos from the outside, either. The sealed cover prevents heat from entering through convection; the vacuum prevents conduction, and the metal lining between the housing and the inner cavity prevents heat radiation. This is also an important reason why Yeti tumbler has the characteristics of sweat-free.
Whether you like hot or cold coffee, a vacuum flask is a wonderful way to make your drink whatever you want. It should be noted that some heat will eventually escape (or enter), mainly through the lid.
Why Are Yeti Tumblers Durable?
When the Yeti Tumbler product came out, the main selling point was durable. Why Yeti tumbler is more durable than other tumblers? The secret is that the stainless steel material it uses is thicker.
The thickness of the inner wall of Yeti stainless steel tumblers is 0.5mm, and the thickness of the outer wall is 0.6mm. The inner wall thickness of other brands of tumblers on the market is basically 0.4mm or 0.3mm, and thickness of the outer wall is only 0.5mm.
Can The Quality Of Yeti Tumblers Be Surpassed?
The answer is yes. Including KingStar, there are about 8 manufacturers in China that can manufacture Yeti tumblers of the same or even better quality. The key points to surpass Yeti’s quality:
- Materials: Choose the same food grade 18/8 stainless steel and Tritan material as Yeti.
- Thickness of stainless steel: the same as the wall thickness of Yeti tumbler, or even slightly thicker.
- Key process: the manufacturer must be good at powder coating, welding and vacuuming process.
- The stainless steel tumbler manufacturer must have a professional R&D team.
- The insulated tumbler manufacturer must have a professional Quality Control team.
