Laser Engraving On Blank Tumblers & Drinking Water Bottles: Common Faults And Solutions

Many of our customers who buy blank tumblers in bulk and wholesale blank water bottles have their own laser engraving production line. They customize logo, text, monogram, etc. on blank bottles and tumblers according to their local customers’ requirements. They are welcomed by local customers because they can provide very fast service and delivery.

The laser engraving machine occasionally fails. The laser engraving machine has a complicated structure and is troublesome to maintain. If the problem cannot be solved in time, it may affect the delivery time of the product. Therefore, their technicians often write emails to our KingStar for help and ask for remote video guidance to solve some problems.

Generally speaking, the common faults of laser marking machines can be solved by themselves. The following is a summary of our experience and guidance.

Fault 1: The laser intensity drops and the mark is not clear enough

Solution:

1. Whether the laser resonant cavity is changed; fine-tune the resonant cavity lens. Make the best output spot;
2. The acousto-optic crystal shifts or the output energy of the acousto-optic power supply is low; adjust the position of the acousto-optic crystal or increase the working current of the acousto-optic power supply;
3. The laser entering the galvanometer is off-center: adjust the laser;
4. If the current is adjusted to about 20A and the photosensitivity is not strong enough: the laser generator is aging, replace the new laser generator.

Fault 2: The laser generator cannot be triggered

Solution:

1. Check all power cables;
2. The high-voltage laser generator is aging, replace the laser generator.

Fault 3: The reason for not emitting light

There are several reasons and solutions

1. The light path screws of the whole machine are loose, and the screws need to be tightened.
2. Whether there is too much dust in the gun body to prevent the gun endoscope from being injured. If found, the gun endoscope must be replaced.
3. When the chiller is turned on for a long time without turning on the laser power and lighting, it will cause freezing and no light. You need to turn off the power system of the whole machine for 1 hour and then restart it.
4. The lamp tube must be replaced if the lamp is aging or the laser power drops.
5. After working for a long time, the laser power drops, open the bottom cover of the gun body, you need to adjust it in the gun endoscope.
