Keeping kids’ tumbler clean is super important, because straws, lids, and hidden parts can easily trap bacteria.
We recommend washing your insulated water bottle every day. You can either run it through the dishwasher on the hottest setting or hand wash it with hot, soapy water and a bottle brush. If you’re hand washing, make sure you really get into the nooks and crannies, especially around straws and valves.
For a deeper clean once a week, soak water bottles in a white vinegar or baking soda solution overnight. This helps kill any bacteria and gets rid of lingering smells.
After washing, always dry the bottle and wait for its parts completely before putting it away. Moisture can cause mold to grow if pieces are stored wet. And if you notice a chewed-up straw or a broken spout, replace it right away to keep the bottle safe and hygienic.
